Barcelona are set to face Valencia in the Copa del Rey, and manager Hansi Flick is planning some significant changes to his starting lineup.
In fact, according to a report from MARCA, Flick intends to rotate his squad, with a few key players possibly starting from the bench for this match.
One of the most notable changes could be the decision to leave Robert Lewandowski out of the starting XI.
Flick is considering repeating the false nine formation that worked so well for Barcelona in their previous encounters against Valencia and Mallorca in La Liga, meaning that Ferran Torres could enter the fray.
This tactical switch has been successful in recent matches, and Flick may choose to rely on it once again in this cup clash.

Defensively, Barcelona are also set to make changes. Both Ronald Araujo and Inigo Martinez, who have been key figures at the back for the team, may be rested.
Instead, Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia are expected to get the nod in the starting lineup. This could be an opportunity for both players to showcase their abilities, with Araujo and Martinez providing support from the bench.
While Dani Olmo is making his return to the squad, he will not be starting the match. Gavi, on the other hand, remains sidelined due to FIFA protocols after suffering a blow to the head in the game against Alaves.
His absence is a blow to Barcelona, but the team will continue to push forward without him for this cup fixture.
The clash between Barcelona and Valencia is coming at an interesting time for both teams. Barcelona have had an impressive start to the year, having won the Super Cup and bounced back strongly in La Liga after a tough end to 2024.
Valencia, however, continue to struggle with consistency and are looking to improve their form. Both teams will have plenty to prove, with Barcelona hoping to build on their recent success and Valencia eager to challenge the Catalan giants.
