FC Barcelona are currently one of best sides to watch across Europe’s top leagues this season. If there were ever any doubts before their latest set of fixtures, those are now gone as well. Demolishing both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, Barcelona are well and truly back it seems.

First came the victory over the Bavarian giants at the Montjuic Stadium in the UEFA Champions League. A highly-anticipated clash because of the history between the two sides, but La Blaugrana ultimately managed to completely thrash the Bundesliga side with a 4-1 scoreline.

Right afterwards, Barcelona faced off against Real Madrid in the latest edition of the El Clasico. Once again, the Catalan giants reigned supreme and completely annihilated Real Madrid with a 4-0 scoreline at the Santiago Bernabeu as Los Blancos were humiliated in front of their home fans.

However, despite the fact that La Blaugrana won these two massive fixtures in such convincing fashion, Hansi Flick remains unsatisfied. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona coach even turned down the latest request made by his players on Sunday following the recent El Clasico.

During the recovery session, the players requested if they could get a third day off after Hansi Flick initially awarded them two days off ahead of the clash against Espanyol on Sunday. However, the German tactician ignored that request and the players are expected to report to the training ground on Wednesday as per the original instructions.

For the former Bayern and German National team coach, no title has been won just yet and Barcelona still have a long way left to go. He expects his players to maintain this consistency and quality for the games up ahead as well and that requires complete dedication.

Fortunately for the club, they now have a coach who has a never-ending desire to improve and win. Despite completely thrashing both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, Barcelona are still a long way off from winning La Liga or any other title for that matter, so slacking off right now is simply not an option.
