An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Marc Casadó has late on Thursday night come to the fore online.
This comes after the midfield starlet caused fresh panic amongst those of a Barcelona persuasion a short time ago.
Casadó was for his part afforded a starting berth tonight, as Barca kicked the club’s Champions League campaign into gear in a meeting with AS Monaco.
When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops endured an outing to forget, condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 result.
And yet, the eventual outcome at the Stade Louis II did not mark the only source of concern for the Blaugrana.
In addition, as proceedings came to a close on Thursday, the aforementioned Marc Casadó was spotted looking in some degree of discomfort, limping whilst making his way from the pitch.
Amid nothing short of an injury crisis in Barcelona’s midfield at present, as much represented the last thing which the club’s supporters or coaching staff would have wanted to see.
In turn, it will no doubt come as a source of relief to hear that Casadó has not picked up any form of injury.
As confirmed by head coach Hansi Flick during his post-match exchange with the media:
“Casadó only has a knock. All of our players give 100%, and Marc is one of them.”
