Hansi Flick still has hope in 22-year-old Barcelona player with 0 minutes in last 10 games | OneFootball

This 2024-25 season has been going quite well for FC Barcelona with the Catalans emerging as one of the best teams in Europe and Spain. This good performance from the Blaugrana team has naturally coincided with good performances from some of their players, with Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Inigo Martinez, etc. all playing at a very high level.

However, one player for whom this season has gone from bad to worse is the Spanish forward Ansu Fati. Although not an important player for Hansi Flick, the Spaniard still got some minutes in the first half of the season.

However, for the last few months, he has not even been able to make some squad lists, and the last time he stepped on the pitch was on 4th January, in the Copa del Rey match against Barbastro, playing the last 28 minutes.

In the ten games that followed, he did not get even a minute on the pitch, and in six of them, he was not even named in the squad.

Still, SPORT reports that Hansi Flick still has hope in the 22-year-old winger, and the player himself also has hope in the Barcelona sporting management to help him get his career back on track.

The German coach has seen Fati putting in extra effort in recent training sessions in order to get to the level of his teammates. He is usually seen working on his shooting with Robert Lewandowski even after the rest of his teammates have left the training ground.

Barcelona hope that Flick will reward the youngster for his effort with some minutes in the coming few weeks. The Catalans understand that the winger is not suffering from any physical problem, but from a mental perspective, as he lacks the confidence to play at his best level. A goal-scoring outing will solve a lot of problems for him, and hopefully, he will get the opportunity to score this goal soon.
