Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is continuing to mull over two selection options for the club’s upcoming meeting with Catalan neighbours Girona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Barcelona are of course primed to mark their post-international break return to action on Sunday evening, in a La Liga showdown with the aforementioned Girona.
The Blaugrana will head into proceedings keen to keep alive what has been a perfect start to the campaign, marked by four wins from four.
In efforts towards as much, however, boss Flick still has doubts when it comes to his starting XI.
As per a report from MD, these doubts come in two key positions – the base of midfield, and attacking midfield.
The former surrounds a direct battle between Marc Casadó and Eric García, to join Pedri as one of the two pivots at Montilivi.
And the other comes further forward, where Dani Olmo’s recent injury troubles mean that the summer signing could be rested, with a view to Barcelona’s Champions League meeting with AS Monaco on Thursday.
Should Olmo drop out, Raphinha will likely slot into a central role, with Ferran Torres restored to a starting spot on the left flank.
