Upon signing for Juventus Women from Rosenborg this January transfer window, new Bianconera Mathilde Harviken has spoken for the first time since joining the club.
The 23-year-old Norwegian sat down to share her thoughts on joining the Bianconere, tell us her objectives and to let us know a little bit more about herself.
“It’s really cool to be here, it’s always fun to try something new and it’s a huge club. I had wanted to try something new and this was a really good opportunity for me.”
Moving to Serie A, then, presents Mathilde with a new opportunity, and she's hoping to learn and grow even more in Italy.
“I hope the league has a higher level than in Norway, and I’m hoping for an expecting a lot of exciting and tough matches. I think it’ll be fun here.
“I haven’t seen too many Juventus league games, but I’ve watched the Champions League matches. I’ve spoken a bit with Hanna Bennison before coming here to understand some more.”
What about Mathilde herself, though? What are her ambitions with Juventus, and what can we expect to see from here?
“I want to do a lot on a personal level, but I also want to be part of the group and win trophies here. I want to play my part.
“I’m an aggressive defender and I think I’m good physically, but I also want to have the ball at my feet so I like playing in a team that want to have the ball.”
