Henrik Meister set to join Pisa from Rennes | OneFootball

Only six months after Henrik Meister (21) joined Stade Rennais, the Danish striker is set to leave the club for Serie B side Pisa SC.

As per a report from Foot Mercato, an agreement has been reached between Rennes and their Italian counterparts. Meister will join Pisa on a six-month loan which includes an option to buy. The striker is expected to sign this agreement in the coming hours where he will officially become a Pisa player.

Meister arrived in the summer from Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08 FF. He had a brilliant debut for Rennes coming off the bench to provide the finishing touches in the 3-0 victory over Olympique Lyonnais in the club’s opening game of the season.

However, a dream start would quickly fade. Meister made substitute appearances in the next two games before playing in only one further match. The forward who can also play as a winger has not featured since late September and was frequently not included in matchday squads.
