Bild reports that Hertha Berlin will sell Marc-Oliver Kempf and Agustin Rogel this summer as they prepare for a season in the 2.Bundesliga.

Kempf will be sold due to the fact he is one of the top earners at Hertha. In the Bundesliga, he was earning €2.5m and that will be reduced to €1.5m after relegation. Hertha wishes to save the money that Kempf currently earns, while the central defender also wishes to still play in the Bundesliga.

While Rogel will be sold as he does not fit in the plans of manager Pal Dardai despite the fact that the Uruguayan wishes to stay at Hertha. The club currently has seven central defenders, so it only makes sense for centre-backs to be sold this summer to help create funds to invest elsewhere.

Those other positions include left-back, as of July 1st Hertha will have no left-back in the squad. Lukas Ullrich (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Maximilian Mittelstädt (Stuttgart) have already left the club, while Marvin Plattenhardt’s contract expires at the end of the month.

Other players that could be sold at Hertha include Dodi Lukebakio, Lucas Tousart, Krzysztof Piatek, Suat Serdar, Alexander Schwolow, Luca Wollschläger, Oliver Christensen and Jonjoe Kenny.
