After this weekend's games in the Premier League - and across the world - we will enter the first international break of 2025. There will be hundreds of international games taking place all over the world, in a number of competitions.
Some of the games on the other side of the world will include two Tottenham Hotspur players, as Heung-Min Son and Yang Min-hyeok have been named in South Korea's squad for their World Cup qualifiers that take place later on this month.
Over the break, they will be facing Oman, on Friday the 20th of March, at 11:00 GMT, and Jordan, whom knocked them out of the Asia Cup last year, on Tuesday, the 25th of March, also at 11:00 GMT.
Thankfully, both of these games are to take place at home, so there is not quite as much travelling as their usually is when South Korea are in action during international breaks.
Nevertheless, flying to Seoul and back does rack up a little over 10,000 miles regardless, plus all the jet lag - and potentially 180 minutes of football in the skipper's case. For someone turning 33 this summer, with already a crazy amount of minutes in the legs, that is still an awful lot of physical strain.
That is not to complain about the break - it is what it is. Some fans call these games pointless - try telling that to Son, Min-hyeok, or any other South Korean player or person. To call friendlies or even Nations League games pointless is understandable - but World Cup qualifiers are objectively not pointless. You may not care about them, but millions of people do - including these two Spurs players.
In terms of South Korea's current qualifying campaign, things are looking good. They currently sit top of their group, with 14 points from six games - five points ahead of third, with the top two sides being the teams that automatically qualify for the World Cup next year.
Should South Korea win both of their games during this break, they will have confirmed their spot in North America next summer, given the sides in third and fourth are Oman and Jordan, whom they will be up against. Safe to say, not pointless at all.
So far, Yang Min-hyeok has generally been getting a decent amount of playing time at QPR, playing eight Championship games, starting four of those and playing 343 minutes of football. Hopefully he can also get some minutes during this break.
