Gazet van Antwerpen is reporting that Ewan Henderson is set to join Beerschot and sign a multi-year contract with the newly promoted club. The midfielder will join from Scottish side Hibernian, where he had one year left on his current deal. Henderson spent last year on loan with another Belgian side in Oostende, who have now gone bankrupt and dropped out of the professional football system.

Henderson came through at the Celtic academy, spending time on loan with Ross County and Dunfermline Athletic. In January 2022 he joined Hibernian FC on loan before making the move to Hibs permanent in the summer. The Scottish youth international made 56 appearances for the side, scoring five goals and grabbing five assists. Last season they loaned Henderson to Oostende, where he scored seven goals in 30 games and impressed during the sides run to the cup semi-final.

Clearly Beerschot were also impressed with what they saw from Henderson and have decided to bring him in in their bid to avoid relegation from the Pro League during the 2024/2025 season.
