Mohammed Kudus wants more from him and his teammates as he talks the impact of Graham Potter.

The Hammers forward, who like many in this West Ham side, wants to get back to the levels they know they are capable of reaching this season.

It’s been a tough season with the club having to part ways with a Head Coach mid-season, however Kudus isn’t shying away from the position the club finds itself in at present.

“I think definitely I want more,” Kudus told the clubs Official Website. “I set higher standards for myself. I’m not there yet, but we keep working because individually and as a team, we all know the reality of the situation we are in

“Playing as the target man through the middle, it’s a bit crowded and stuff like that. On the flank, sometimes you have more space and stuff like that. It’s a whole different feeling playing in the centre and then being out wide. My aim is how to be able to analyse both situations and how I can help the team in the best possible way.”

Graham Potter arrived a fortnight ago, with a clear lift in mood and belief in east London, as Kudus talks the impact the new Head Coach has had already on the way the side operates, ahead of a tough test at Villa Park this weekend.

“He wants to play, press, try and keep the ball and literally try and win every single game,” added Kudus. “I think the aim of the whole squad is still the same, but it’s just a different way of replicating what he wants on the pitch.

“We want to win games and get up on the table. The aim and the motivation and the passion is always the same.

“Villa is a top team and we are very aware of that. We played them last two weeks ago recently in the cup and we know what to expect. Definitely, we will be ready for it since we have been preparing for the whole week for that.”
