Celtic will go into Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with Club Brugge on a high after their 4-1 weekend win over Hearts. Neil Critchley’s side may be dwelling towards the bottom of the Scottish Premiership but Tynecastle, especially under the lights, represents a daunting away trip.

Celtic navigated a fairly poor first half to respond with four second half goals to break Hearts and set themselves up for the midweek clash. The Jambos looked to go man for man and press Celtic up the park using the home fans (those that turned up) to really roar their side on.

Brendan made a change at the break to open up more passing routes into the midfield, which ultimately helped Celtic to put the hosts to the sword.

Kyogo scored the opener after a blocked clearance fell favourably to the Japanese attacker. Craig Gordon foiled the striker on a few occasions in the game but he could do nothing on this occasion.

Nicolas Kühn continued his impressive season by netting a quick fire second, smashing the ball into the roof of the net.

Adam Idah scored a brace. The forward struck to make it 3-0 with a neatly taken finish after some good link up play in the middle from Reo Hatate and Paulo Bernardo.

Hearts pulled one back through an admittedly excellent strike from Drammeh. Although, the Irish striker ensured Celtic had the last of the scoring. James Forrest was brought down in the box and Steven McLean correctly awarded a penalty. Idah stepped up and drove a perfect penalty into the net to complete the scoring.
