Honduras, Nicaragua meet in Play-In for final spot in W Futsal Championship | OneFootball

MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship kicks off with a Play-In match between Honduras and Nicaragua on Monday at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

The Concacaf W Futsal Championship opened doors to for countries to create a Futsal National Team. This is the case for Honduras and Nicaragua, who meet for the final spot in the Group Stage.

Even though it features an inaugural roster, Honduras managed to attract players with international exposure like Linda Moncada, who is part of the football national team, giving her a chance to represent La Bicolor crest in a new competition.

Nicaragua will also make its debut. Experience from Reyna Hernández, who is also part of the football national team with La Azul y Blanco, will be key to show the skills the team has been working on for their debut.

The winner of the Play-In match will advance to the Group Stage as part of Group B, facing the United States, Canada, and Costa Rica.
