With the January transfer window closing, clubs scrambled to finalize key deals to strengthen their squads for the second half of the 2024-25 season. One of the standout moves saw Marcus Rashford leave Manchester United for Aston Villa.
According to Ben Jacobs of Give Me Sport, Paris Saint-Germain haven’t made a recent push for Rashford, but the club’s sporting advisor, Luis Campos, is keeping a close watch on the situation.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has previously spoken with Rashford’s representatives, but any further talks would likely depend on the player’s genuine interest in a move to Paris. This measured approach comes after Rashford signed a five-year contract extension with Manchester United in July 2023.
Jacobs also reported that Rashford is weighing a potential move to La Liga, with Barcelona showing interest. However, financial constraints could complicate a deal, making a loan move the most realistic option—provided Manchester United is willing to cover a significant portion of his wages.

According to the Manchester Evening News, some Barcelona players were frustrated that the club’s improved financial situation was being considered for a potential move for Rashford.
While Barcelona admire Rashford, they didn’t view a January loan as a realistic option, per MEN. Instead, their plan was to pursue a deal in the summer if the opportunity arose.
This uncertainty led Rashford to reconsider his options, ultimately agreeing to join Aston Villa on loan, with the club holding a £40 million purchase option for the summer.
