While the Foxes have many games between now and then, with Ruud van Nistelrooy's full focus on picking up results and putting points on the board, he also will be thinking about where to strengthen in the January transfer window.

Ahead of the January transfer window, Leicester City fans have been told to brace for one position in particular. So, what is Leicester's transfer plan?

How Leicester City will approach the January transfer window

According to a report from Pete O'Rourke of Football Insider, Leicester City would like to sign a striker in the January transfer window. The report claims that cancelling Odsonne Edouard's loan spell in January would allow them to sign another Premier League forward on loan.

As it stands, Leicester City are keen to sign Evan Ferguson from Brighton and Hove Albion. However, the Foxes will face significant challenges in their plea to sign the Irish forward.

It was today revealed that Nottingham Forest would also like to sign Evan Ferguson. It is an added blow to Leicester that their East Midlands rivals would like to sign Ferguson permanently. It remains to be seen whether Brighton would prefer a loan move or a permanent sale but if it's the latter, then Forest might have the upper-hand over the Foxes.

Jamie Vardy has unsurprisingly been in inspired form since the return to the Premier League. He looks like he could find a new spark under Ruud van Nistelrooy, whose record Vardy famously broke in the title winning season.

On the other hand, Odsonne Edouard has hardly touched the ball since he signed from Crystal Palace loan. Therefore, it seems like a no-brainer for Leicester to cut his loan deal short.
