Chris Wilder is looking to guide the Blades back to the Premier League
Bristol City and Sheffield United will meet at Ashton Gate this evening in the opening tie of the Championship Play-Offs semi-final.
The Blades, back under Chris Wilder’s leadership, are chasing promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated last season, finishing bottom with just 16 points.
They will be heavy favourites in the playoffs, though, after finishing 14 points clear of their next closest contender.
They were a full 22 points ahead of Bristol City, who confirmed their sixth-place finish on the final day of the season with a 2-2 draw at home to Preston North End.
Bristol are winless in two meetings with United this season, falling 2-1 at home in November before battling to a 1-1 draw in March. They snatched that result with a 90th-minute equaliser from Mark Sykes, but will require a win tonight if they are to move closer to a first-ever promotion to the Premier League.
Here’s everything you need to know about where to watch...
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be broadcast on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event. Coverage starts at 7pm BST ahead of an 8pm kick-off.
