After two goals in two games, Duff feels Koroma can be a real threat in his Huddersfield side.
Huddersfield Town manager Michael Duff has praised Josh Koroma ahead of their upcoming fixture against Peterborough United after a fruitful goalscoring week for the winger.
The 26-year-old netted from the bench in the Terriers' comeback win against Barnsley at Oakwell, before striking the only goal of the game in their midweek victory at Shrewsbury Town.
Koroma's recent spell in front of goal marked his first league goals since early December. A poor spell to begin the year saw Duff take the winger out of the starting eleven for five straight games prior to Tuesday's meeting with Shrewsbury.
Duff knows that Koroma was off it for a little bit, but hopes that he now has him back to his best ahead of an important run of fixtures.
Michael Duff has expressed his gratification with Josh Koroma's recent performances, praising his positive attitude during a period when things weren't going his way.
Yorkshire Live reported that Duff said: "I thought Josh came off it a little bit, we've had conversations with him, what he needs to do."
"I'm delighted with him. One thing he hasn't done, he's not sulked. He's played left wing-back, then we sort of changed it to more of a 4-3-3, and now he's playing up top again. I think he's the top goalscorer.
"I really like working with him, he's a really nice kid who is humble and wants to do well. Sometimes his body language portrays that he doesn't care, and that's anything from the truth."
Josh Koroma's winner at Shrewsbury saw him net his seventh league goal of the season, surpassing last season's Championship tally in 13 fewer games.
He is currently just one goal away from tying his best league return in a Huddersfield shirt, having netted eight in his first season at the John Smith's Stadium in 2020/21.
With Koroma's contract up at the end of the season, having the best output between now and the end of the season can be beneficial to him, as he looks to attract Championship suitors for next season. However, if he keeps this form up, it's not out of the question that his current club may achieve promotion at the end of this season.
Two straight wins after a run of five without have Huddersfield back on track in League One, as they look to chase down the top two towards the end of the season.
Michael Duff's side has already gone on a 16-game unbeaten league run this season and will be hoping to replicate something similar in the latter 15 games of this campaign.
If they are to do so, they'll be hoping that joint top scorer Koroma can maintain his scoring naus from the past week.
