Sheffield United forward Callum O’Hare has revealed that he cannot wait to face Sunderland on Friday night, which he dubbed a top-of-the table Championship clash.
The Blades secured a 3-0 win on Tuesday to get to the top of the Championship table with a two-point lead over West Brom and Sunderland, sitting in second and third place.
Next Sheffield United will welcome Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland, who are unbeaten in their last ten games, but have failed to find a way to secure three points in any of their last five games.
The outcome of the clash could decide who will lead the league table in the coming weekend and O’Hare stressed that he cannot wait to get on the pitch on Friday to face Sunderland at Bramall Lane.
The Blades midfielder dubbed the game a the top of the table clash and feels that to partake in such big games is the reason for why they play football.
When asked whether he is looking forward to facing Sunderland, O’Hare told Blades TV: “Yes, I can’t wait. Sort of top of the table clash and that is what you play football for.
“Hopefully we can come and put another performance on like we have tonight and get that win.”
Sunderland lost to Sheffield United 2-1 the last time they faced each other at Bramall Lane and Le Bris’ side will be determined to get three points against their promotion rivals.
