Thierry Henry has shared his thoughts on Enzo Maresca and his comments about the Chelsea fans following their draw with Ipswich.
The Blues lost ground in the race for the Champions League after being held to a 2-2 draw by the Tractor Boys at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Chelsea now sit sixth in the league and outside of the Champions League places, with pressure seemingly growing on Maresca.
Maresca’s job is said to be safe for now, but he took the strange decision to blame the fans for the second Ipswich goal, which is unlikely to go down well with supporters.
There’s been a lot of frustration from supporters in recent weeks about the style of play, with fans unhappy about the playing out from the back.
Maresca has mentioned on a number of occasions this season how important the supporters are, but Jamie Carragher believes there’s no connection between the Italian and the Chelsea fans.

Henry has now had his say on the matter and made an interesting comparison to Unai Emery when he was Arsenal boss.
“It’s on you to create a connection, but it was also because they were playing against Ipswich,” he told Sky Sports.
“I just think at one point it’s very difficult for the manager. When you want to do something, try to have the style.
“I remember Unai Emery when he arrived at Arsenal, he was trying to play out from the back, and the Arsenal fans were not having it even though he won stuff.

Maresca needs the fans for the final six games as Chelsea really can’t afford to miss out on Champions League football for a third consecutive season, and the only way to get supporters back onside is by winning, starting with Sunday’s trip to Fulham.
