Former Blue Pat Nevin thinks Chelsea will move four or five players on this January and feels there could be some big names leaving the club.
The January window is now in full swing and the Blues were expected to have a quiet month with not much business in the way of incomings.
Injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile have seemingly changed their plans and it looks like a new centre back could arrive, with the Blues holding interest in Marc Guehi.
The main priority for the Blues will be outgoings and the club are looking to move on a number of players as they look to free up space in the squad.
Nevin has shared his thoughts on the January window and has predicted as many as five players could leave Stamford Bridge this month.

“I think Chelsea will get rid of four or five players in January and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are decent sized names,” he told Grosvenor Sport as cited on X.com.
It could easily be that many and the club have told Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka they can leave, with Dortmund looking to step up their interest in the midfielder.
There doesn’t appear to be many suitors for Chilwell, but that’s not the case for Cesare Casadei who has a host of suitors from Italy and it looks like he’s edging closer to a move to Torino.
Axel Disasi is attracting interested from Juventus and if the Blues could move the Frenchman on that could help in their pursuit of Guehi.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is another who could leave despite arriving for £30m in the summer and West Ham are thought be interested in him.
Chelsea have plenty of sellable assets but it remains to be seen what offers come in and whether the offers meet the club’s valuation, but whether it’s on loan or permanently I think we can expect a number of departures from Stamford Bridge before the end of the month.
