Jurgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager, has certainly not been idle since he passed the baton to Arne Slot in May 2024. Having stepped back from the intense spotlight of Premier League football, Klopp has embarked on a global journey that sees him now at the helm of Red Bull’s expansive football operations.
From the training grounds of RB Bragantino in São Paulo to the snow-dusted pitches of the New York Red Bulls, Klopp’s new role involves a thorough engagement with various clubs across the Red Bull network. His tour has also taken him to the far reaches of Japan with Omiya Ardija, a recent addition to Red Bull’s growing list of football acquisitions, as well as a visit to Paris FC in France, where Red Bull holds a stake.
Despite his globe-trotting responsibilities, Klopp’s heart still holds a special place for Liverpool. The city and the club are gearing up for what could be another monumental Premier League title parade, and Klopp has confirmed his intentions to join the festivities. His connection to the club is not just professional but deeply personal, and his presence at the parade would be symbolic of his lasting impact on the team and the community.

At a recent event in South Africa, Klopp shared his plans, making it clear that while he may not be on the celebratory bus, his spirit and camaraderie will very much be part of the occasion. “Yes, the plan is…but not on the bus,” Klopp revealed. He intends to celebrate alongside the legendary figures of Liverpool’s past, adding, “I will be there with the people that you all saw growing up – that’s the idea to be honest.”
Klopp’s return to Liverpool for the final game and the subsequent celebrations is not just a matter of showing up. He’s conscious of the timing, ensuring his presence is a boost rather than a burden. “I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it,” he explained. His cautious approach underlines his deep connection and respect for the club’s current pursuits. “Imagine I’m the first time in the stadium and they lose!? So, I go there when it’s decided.”
Klopp’s planned return to Liverpool for the Premier League title parade isn’t just a reunion; it’s a celebration of a legacy that transformed Liverpool into one of the modern era’s most formidable football powerhouses. Under his guidance, the club not only clinched the Premier League title but also left an indelible mark on European competitions. His tenure at Liverpool may have ended, but his influence lingers on in the ethos of the club and in the hearts of its fans.
