Reading have confirmed that Rob Couhig has completed his takeover of the club, which includes the training ground and the stadium.
It was revealed at the start of the month that Couhig had finalised an agreement to buy the Royals after a breakthrough was reached with Dai Yongge.
That has now been signed off, with the club sharing the update on their official site on Wednesday afternoon.
Naturally, this was a great relief to all connected to Reading, as the fans have had to endure a lot under Yongge’s ownership over the past few years.
From failing to pay players on time, to points deductions and relegation, it has been a grim period in the history of the Berkshire outfit, and those on the terraces have been protesting for change for some time.
There was a genuine possibility that the club could be thrown out of the EFL deal didn’t go through, so it has been a stressful time for all supporters.
And, FLW's Royals fan pundit Johnny Hunt opened up on how difficult it has been when asked by FLW to sum up how he felt after the takeover was complete.

“I have a mixture of every emotion going; relief, happiness, sadness for all the different things that went on, but we have our club back and we can talk about football rather than legal things, court cases and all the other stuff we’ve had to deal with.
“It’s a huge day, probably one of the biggest in our club's history, to finally get the club back. Hopefully Rob Couhig will run it the way that football clubs should be run, for however long, and the fans get what we deserve. The players, the backroom staff, it’s been a hell of a journey, one that many outside our club won’t understand, it affects everyone’s mental health. It’s done!”
To their credit, the players and staff at Reading have managed to cope well with all the off-field distractions, and it was a miracle that they nearly finished in the play-off places this season.
That shows there’s a lot of talent at the club, and the togetherness between the squad and the fans offers a good platform for Couhig to build on.
It also means the fans should be optimistic about what the future could hold, and it’s the first time they will have felt that way in years.
So, this is a day of celebration for the club, but the hard work will start soon enough for Couhig, as he looks to put structures in place to ensure Reading
