Chelsea are one of just two Premier League clubs to have winners of both the 2024 Euros and Copa America in their squad this summer.

Spain’s win against England in Berlin saw Marc Cucurella become a European Champion, whilst Argentina’s victory over Colombia in Miami saw Enzo Fernandez add the Copa America to his list of international honours.

Manchester City are the other club with Rodri part of Spain’s successful squad, whilst Julian Alvarez, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea was part of Argentina’s success.

Cucurella had a brilliant tournament and was arguably the best left back at Euro 2024, and he could be in line to start the season as Chelsea’s first choice left back under Enzo Maresca which would be quite some turn around.

Fernandez was once again an important part of Argentina’s midfield and it was great to see him come through unscathed and with plenty of minutes in his legs following surgery on a hernia issue towards the end of last season.

Both players are in line for key roles next season and that taste of success on the international stage will no doubt have the fire burning inside them to achieve success with Chelsea next season.
