Tottenham Hotspur conceded a late goal at home as they secured a 2-2 draw against AS Roma in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Spurs have been the better side of the two for most of the game, but their profligacy in front of goal cost them once again.

Heung-min Son scored from the spot inside five minutes, and Brennan Johnson added another in the first half to give Spurs a 2-1 lead at the break.

In an action-packed second half, Johnson had a shot cleared off the line while Pedro Porro, Dominik Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski all came close to scoring.

Mats Hummels, who gave away a penalty in the first half, made amends in stoppage time to earn a draw for the Italian side.

Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport were impressed with Kulusevki, describing him as ‘impregnable’.

Spurs are ninth in the Europa League league phase standings, and they need to win their remaining games to avoid a play-off match.

They will face Rangers, Hoffenheim and Elfsborg in their coming games.

Kulusevski has been in great form this season

The Spurs winger has been impressive for both club and country this season, and manager Ange Postecoglou will hope that he can maintain consistency throughout.

He has bagged two goals and seven assists across all competitions, but there is still room for improvement.

Spurs won 4-0 against Manchester City in their previous Premier League game, and they need to maintain the same effort and intensity when they face Fulham this week.

The north London club are only three points behind Arsenal and Chelsea, and they have a good chance of finishing in the top four this season.
