In comments to Canal+, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Luís Campos has denied the rumours that the Ligue 1 champions are interested in bringing Porto FC’s Rodrigo Mora (17) to the French capital, as they already have Senny Mayulu (18).
Mora only made his professional debut this season. However, since the end of December, the teenager has become a regular feature within Porto manager Martin Anselmi’s plans, with the club fourth in the league.
Interest in the attacking midfielder’s talents has grown rapidly, and he is expected to be the next rising star to emerge from the academies of the Iberian nation. It was reported that he had attracted attention from PSG, who are no strangers to the Portuguese market (with Vitinha, João Neves, Gonçalo Ramos, and Nuno Mendes on their books).
However, Campos squashed the reports that PSG are looking at his compatriot and instead pointed towards the talent already on offer in the French capital, stating, “The rumour is completely false. In Paris, we love Mayulu.”
