Lazio midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi could miss Saturday’s Serie A game against Juventus due to a foot injury he sustained during the international break with France.
Multiple sources, including Sky Sport Italia and LaLazioSiamoNoi, claim the France international underwent medical tests this morning after sustaining a foot injury in France’s 2-1 win over Belgium on Monday evening.
Exams ruled out a fracture for the ex-Arsenal midfielder, but Guendouzi remains in doubt for the upcoming match at the Allianz Stadium.
The 25-year-old has scored one goal in eight appearances across all competitions with Lazio this term, but his convincing performances under Marco Baroni helped him return to the France squad after missing the Euros.
Guendouzi also scored a goal during the international break in October, contributing to France’s 4-1 win over Israel last week.
His contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in June 2028.
