Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi is set to undergo medical tests for a potential injury after yesterday’s Serie A clash with Bologna.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.
Inter are already dealing with a couple of notable injuries in midfield.
At the moment, both Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are on the sidelines. The former will have to wait a couple weeks to return, while the latter should be back against Empoli on Sunday.
But now, there looks to be another injury worry for Inter.
According to Sky, Inter midfielder Frattesi will be undergoing medical tests today.
This follows the 25-year-old’s appearance off the bench in yesterday’s Serie A draw with Bologn.
Frattesi did not start that match, despite the absence of Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan.
However, the former Sassuolo midfielder did come on as a substitute in the second half.
And there looks to be a physical problem for Frattesi after that appearance, reports Sky.
In the meantime, Frattesi is also at the centre of transfer speculation. Reportedly, the Italian international wants to leave Inter as a result of a lack of playing time.
Roma are the team reportedly keenest to sign Frattesi.
