Ferran Torres could become a bargain for teams looking for help up front, and Inter fall in such a category after striking out last summer. The Spaniard has struggled to live up to expectations with the Blaugrana and hasn’t played as consistently as he hoped.
According to Fichajes, the attacker could leave Catalunya for about €25M in January. His team could be open to arranging a loan with an option to buy. Still, they’ll want to recoup part of their investment eventually. They shelled out €55M to acquire him from Manchester City in 2022.
In addition to Inter, Juventus have also been linked to Ferran Torres. The Bianconeri already wanted him when he broke out with Valencia before transferring to England. He has recorded 26 goals and 15 assists in 123 matches with Barcelona.
The 25-year-old has rarely been a full-time starter, getting the nod 63 times in more than two and a half seasons. He’s expected to be out for six to eight weeks due to a serious hamstring injury. He’s under contract until 2027.
He has some experience as a false-nine, but he’s more of a winger than a striker. The Nerazzurri lusted over Albert Gudmundsson in the summer, and he’s not far off in terms of skillset; plus, he’s still young-ish even though he’s gone places already. On the other hand, unless they somehow manage to offload both Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa, they’ll have to wait until next summer to modify their attack, and there’s a long way to go before that.
