Inter have another potentially very serious injury to deal with, because Piotr Zielinski was on the pitch for only three minutes when he pulled up in agony.

The midfielder had come off the bench as a substitute at San Siro this evening against Monza, but his match lasted barely three full minutes.

With nobody else near him, Zielinski suddenly pulled up screaming and clutching the back of his right calf.

It was immediately apparently this was some sort of muscular issue and potentially a serious one, as to cause so much pain there will be fear of a lesion.

This is the last thing Simone Inzaghi needed during a packed fixture list for the Nerazzurri, who are the only Italian team to still be in the Champions League and the Coppa Italia.

Zielinski hobbled off the field with help from the medical staff and they will be anxiously awaiting the test results over the next 48 hours.

Inter were already missing Federico Dimarco, Nicola Zalewski and Matteo Darmian, while Carlos Augusto and Yann Sommer were only fit for a spot on the bench.
