MIAMI – The Champions Cup has impacted six clubs in the top ten of the latest Concacaf Club Rankings (CCR), including three changes in the top five.
The Concacaf Club Rankings Index grades all clubs and leagues across the confederation. Teams gain points for results in official domestic league matches, regional cup matches, and Concacaf Champions Cup play.

Here are the top stories from the recent moves.
Inter Miami jumps to the top three thanks to Messi’s majestic class in Round One
Columbus Crew (1,252) and Club América (1,247) retained their places as first and second, respectively, as both are about to begin their Champions Cup campaigns in the Round of 16.
Inter Miami CF (1,225) jumped to third place following back-to-back victories in the Champions Cup Round One against Sporting Kansas City, including opening goals from Lionel Messi in both legs.
Cruz Azul (1,224) and LAFC (1,223) also rose in the rankings to fourth and fifth, respectively, thanks to their recent CCC results.
CF Monterrey (1,223), CF Pachuca (1,222), Tigres UANL (1,219), Deportivo Toluca (1,215), and Club León (1,214) round out the top ten.

Herediano takes the spotlight in Central America
CS Herediano (1,170) took the top spot among Central American teams, rising to 30th overall, to overtake reigning Concacaf Central American Cup champion LD Alajuelense (1,151), who improved to 42nd overall and will begin its CCC campaign in the Round of 16.
CD Olimpia (1,140) improved to 48th overall, Deportivo Saprissa (1,130) moved down to 52nd, and CSD Municipal (1,117) stayed at 54th to round out the top five in Central America.
Cibao FC extends their lead in the Caribbean region
Dominican Republic side Cibao FC (1,065) remained the leader among Caribbean clubs while improving to 78th overall.
Jamaican clubs Mount Pleasant FA (1,053) at 89th and defending Concacaf Caribbean Cup champion Cavalier FC (1,046) at 96th overall are second and third, respectively, while SV Robinhood (1,042) of Suriname follows at 99th, and Trinidad and Tobago side Defence Force FC (1,036) at 105th, complete the top five.
Herediano jumps 17 places after Champions Cup Round One
CS Herediano was the month's biggest mover, moving up 17 spots, from 47th to 30th overall. Puntarenas FC (1,061) was the second most improved, moving up 10 spots to 83rd.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC (1,180) is another team that improved with its CCC form by moving up eight spots to 20th. Club Necaxa (1,172) improved to 27th and Real Estelí FC (1,072) to 72nd, each moving up six spots.
Herediano also scored the biggest upset with triumph over Real Salt Lake
CS Herediano provided the most significant upset with its 2-1 away win at Real Salt Lake (1,166) in Round One of the Champions Cup. The series saw the 47th ranked team defeating a team in the top twenty. It also caused the largest fall as RSL moved down 14 spots to 32nd overall.
