Inter Milan have confirmed that defender Yann Bisseck has suffered a thigh injury.

The Nerazzurri updated that the German underwent medical tests today. These showed that he’s suffered a strain in his left thigh, which should rule him out of Serie A matches against Venezia and Bologna.

Bisseck has very much had to put in overtime in recent weeks.

The German has started almost all of Inter’s matches during the period. This has owed to the absence of Benjamin Pavard, who has been out with a thigh strain since November.

Bisseck has been a stalwart at the back for Inter during a period where there has been a defensive injury crisis.

However, the amount that the 24-year-old has been on the pitch looks to have caught up with him.

Bisseck was not in ideal condition physically after the Supercoppa Italiana final against AC Milan. Therefore, he pulled out of training.

And today, Bisseck underwent tests with the Inter medical staff.

These showed that the German has suffered a muscle strain in the adductors of his left thigh.

The club update that Bisseck will undergo further tests next week to check on his condition.

Therefore, the 24-year-old certainly won’t be in the squad to face Venezia this weekend. And it is very unlikely that he’ll be able to return for next Wednesday’s Serie A match against Bologna.
