Inter Milan could move to sign out-of-favour Juventus winger Federico Chiesa if they first get rid of Joaquin Correa.

This according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com.

One of the big questions marks around the final couple weeks of the transfer window in Serie A concerns the future of Chiesa.

The 26-year-old is currently only under contract with Juventus until the end of next June.

And the Bianconeri have made abundantly clear to Chiesa that he has no place in the project under Thiago Motta.

Therefore, Juventus are desperate to offload Chiesa. And for his part, the former Fiorentina winger is naturally looking for a new club.

Chiesa by all accounts would expect a move to a club of sufficient stature, and in the Champions League.

Inter Could Move For Federico Chiesa If They Offload Joaquin Correa

Perhaps the strongest transfer links involving Chiesa in the last couple of weeks have been with Inter.

The Nerazzurri reportedly see the Italian international as a potential free transfer opportunity.

Inter are certainly no strangers to big name free transfer signings. This summer alone they signed Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski, who followed Hakan Calhanoglu, Andre Onana, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Marcus Thuram.

And if Chiesa is to remain at Juventus until the end of his contract, then he would certainly represent a major opportunity of that nature.

Of course, the Bianconeri would have no intention of letting the situation get to that point.

Therefore, Juventus could be willing to hear out lowball offers as the transfer deadline approaches.

And Inter could very well sense an opportunity to sign Chiesa for cheap this summer rather than waiting a year.

And as Calciomercato.com note. Inter are still considering an attacking signing before the window closes.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi wants five senior forwards at his disposal. This would give the coach greater depth and assurances in terms of injuries over the long season.

Right now, Inter have Joaquin Correa in their squad.

The former Lazio forward remains an Inter player after the end of his loan at Marseille. Inter have been trying to offload him for much of the summer, but have been thus far unsuccessful.

If Inter are unable to find a new club for Correa, then the Argentine could very well remain in the squad for this season as a backup option.

But on the other hand, Inter could still sell Correa.

If the Nerazzurri are able to receive a fee for the 30-year-old, then that could give them the financial ability to invest in a relatively low-cost move for Chiesa.

It would still be tough. Particularly considering the size of agent commissions.

But Inter would certainly see bringing Chiesa in to bolster the attacking depth as a major coup.
