Yann Bisseck has received his maiden senior call-up for Die Mannschaft.

Indeed, Nagelsmann’s side will meet Italy in a heavyweight UEFA Nations League quarter-final tie this month.

The first leg takes place in familiar territory for Bisseck.

Germany will take on Luciano Spalletti’s charges at the San Siro later this evening.

Interestingly, they’ve reached the Nations League playoffs for the first time.

After a controversial EURO 2024 loss to Spain, they’ll seek redemption in UEFA’s newest international competition.

However, the Italians bid to stop them in their tracks and win the title for the first time.

Bisseck is well aware of the atmosphere at the San Siro.

However, he’ll appear in front of the familiar crowd as a foe tonight.

“When you step into San Siro, you feel a bit of history,” he stated.

Meanwhile, he explained how demanding Nagelsmann is.

“The current national team coach pays close attention to form, so every match counts,” Bisseck admitted.

Recurring injuries to Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard have aided the 24-year-old’s cause this term.

Indeed, Bisseck has got a more prominent role in Simone Inzaghi’s set-up in his second season at the club.

And he has seized every opportunity.

Bisseck’s meteoric rise in Serie A has not gone unnoticed.

In addition to catching Nagelsmann’s eye, he has become a transfer target for numerous European clubs.

Therefore, Inter expect to receive mega-money offers for their versatile defender in the summer.

Ideally, they’d keep hold of Bisseck, but a substantial proposal could change their minds.
