Inter Milan are reportedly inching closer to signing highly-rated Talleres Cordoba center-back Tomas Palacios.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, it’s only a ‘matter of time’ before the Argentine defender signs a contract at Giuseppe Meazza.

Inter have been on Palacios’ trail since the start of August.

The 21-year-old hasn’t been Beppa Marotta’s first option. However, the Nerazzurri had fired several blanks earlier in the summer.

With limited options and the clock ticking, the reigning Serie A giants have identified Palacios as their top target.

Owned by Talleres, he’s currently on loan at Independiente Rivadavia.

But, as the player wants to leave his homeland for Serie A, Inter and Talleres are trying to broker a move.
