Sassuolo have been moving to try and sign Radu in recent days.

The Emilian club are looking to make signings for their first season in Serie B in a decade.

Last campaign, Sassuolo dropped down to the second division after finishing in the bottom of the Serie B table.

And the Neroverdi have a clear priority. They want to immediately win promotion back to the top flight.

Therefore, Sassuolo have been looking to make fairly ambitious signings.

And Radu is the player the Neroverdi have identified to be their new goalkeeper.

Sassuolo have approached Inter in recent days, and the clubs have been hammering out a deal.

And according to Sky, the player himself has given the green light to the move.

Last season, Radu was on loan at Bournemouth from Inter.

However, the Romanian got very little playing time with the Cherries in the Premier League. Therefore, it was no surprise when they declined to exercise a purchase option on him.

This left Radu back at Inter, with the Nerazzurri needing to sort out his future.

Radu’s contract with Inter runs out at the end of next June.

Therefore, another loan would not really be possible unless Inter were to extend the 26-year-old’s contract first.

As such, the Nerazzurri’s priority has been clear. They want to sell Radu on a permanent basis once and for all.

And according to Sky, that is exactly what Inter are ready to do.

The broadcaster report that Sassuolo have agreed a deal with the Nerazzurri to sign Radu on a permanent basis.

As part of a deal, Inter would be entitled to received a sell-on fee.

And now Radu looks to have given the decisive go-ahead. Therefore, he could soon complete the move and become a Sassuolo player in the next few days.

Prior to his loan at Bournemouth last season, Radu also had spells on loan with the likes of Genoa, Cremonese, and Troyes.

It was at the latter club that Radu received the most regular playing time.

This summer, there was also interest from clubs in Ligue 1 in bringing Radu back to the league. These included Nantes, Strasbourg, and Le Havre.

However, it looks as though the Romanian is set for a move to Serie B, where Sampdoria had also shown an interest in his signature this summer.
