Inter Milan are ready to lock down midfielder Davide Frattesi during the January transfer window despite his desire for more playing time.
This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, via FCInter1908. He reports that the Nerazzurri would only consider offers close to €50 million for the Italian international, and no swap deals.
Frattesi’s situation at Inter is beginning to look like quite the awkward one.
The 25-year-old is a regular starter for Italy. And he is a player who Inter paid a big fee to sign in 2023.
However, Frattesi simply hasn’t been able to nail down a regular starting role for himself at the Nerazzurri.
Therefore, Frattesi wants to leave to join a club where he’ll start regularly.
Considering Frattesi’s situation, there are a number of clubs sitting up and taking notice.
Roma have been the team most strongly linked with the former Sassuolo midfielder. Napoli are also reportedly keen.
And a summer exit is now looking likelier and likelier.
But as far as this month goes, Inter are hardly in any hurry to offload Frattesi. On the contrary, they still consider him an important part of their squad over the second half of the season.
Therefore, Inter will only consider offers that reach somewhere close to €50 million, reports Pedulla.
Moreover, despite some rumours, Pedulla anticipates that the Nerazzurri have no intention of listening to any offers of a swap deal or player-plus-cash offer for Frattesi.
