Transfer links with Inter Milan and Real Madrid are not distracting defender Sam Beukema from his commitments with Bologna.
The Dutchman spoke with Italian broadcaster ‘E’ TV Rete 7, via FCInterNews. He went as far as to say that he wouldn’t mind remaining with the Rossoblu for his entire career.
Defender Sam Beukema is a player who has impressed over the last couple seasons in Serie A.
The Dutchman joined Bologna in the summer of 2023. He made the switch from AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie.
And Beukema was a regular starter for the Rossoblu as they achieved an improbable qualification for the Champions League last season.
Moreover, Beukema has continued to be a key player in the Bologna starting eleven this season.
This growth has not gone unnoticed by bigger clubs.
Inter Milan reportedly see Beukema as one of their major targets in defense. The Nerazzurri are thinking about a long-term succession plan for Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi.
Meanwhile, both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen to bring Beukema to the Spanish capital.
These transfer rumours have raised Sam Beukema’s profile.
However, the 26-year-old is keeping his feet on the ground.

“The Dall’Ara is my second home now,” the Dutch defender said.
“As soon as I arrived here, I immediately got that feeling.”
Beukema insisted that “it wouldn’t be bad for me to play here for my entire career.”
“Let’s see what happens,” added the 26-yearold. “My focus is here, because we have so many big matches ahead of us.”
Meanwhile, Beukema also had words of praise for his Bologna teammate Santiago Castro. Castro is reportedly another target for Inter Milan.
“He’s always fired up,” Beukema said of the Argentina.
“He’s never calm on the pitch. Even when he said that he’s calm.”
Beukema praised Castro for having the “right mentality,” adding that the 20-year-old striker “can become a great player.”
