Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni admits that the Nerazzurri “want revenge” against AC Milan or Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana.

The 25-year-old spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, after Inter booked their place in the final by beating Atalanta today.

Inter have booked their place in the final of the Supercoppa Italiana.

The Nerazzurri’s 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the semifinal stage has guaranteed that they will be in the final of the competition for the fourth season running.

And whichever team Inter meet in the final, it will be a big match.

Tomorrow, AC Milan and Juventus face off in the other semifinal. Therefore, that match will determine whether the Supercoppa final is a Milan derby, or a Derby d’Italia.

Either way, it will be a huge match. And either way, it will not be the first time that the historic rivals have met this season.

Inter have only suffered one defeat in Serie A this season, and it was to city rivals Milan in the derby.

Meanwhile, Inter did not lose to Juventus in their first league meeting of the campaign. However, it was a wild 4-4 draw in which Inter allowed a two-goal advantage to slip through their fingers.

Inter defender Bastoni admitted that “In the league we didn’t have one of our best performances against either of them.”

“We’ll certainly have a strong desire for revenge,” the 25-year-old Inter defender admitted. “No matter which of the two we face.”

Meanwhile, Bastoni gave his thoughts on Inter’s win over Atalanta this evening.

“We know how tough it is against Atalanta,” the Italian international said.

“They didn’t give us much space. It’s not easy.”

“In these situations individual talent has to come through,” Bastoni added. “And today Denzel showed that.”
