Inter Milan veteran midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan addressed the press ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
Speaking at the conference via FCInterNews, the 36-year-old made a stunning revelation regarding his future.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined the Nerazzurri from Roma in the summer of 2022.
Despite arriving at the San Siro as a 33-year-old, the versatile midfielder has become a stalwart.
Indeed, Simone Inzaghi heavily relies on Mkhitaryan’s playmaking prowess and commendable work ethic.
Therefore, the ex-Manchester United star will likely complete Inter’s midfield trio against Bayern tomorrow.
In addition to Mkhitaryan, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu will start in the engine room.
Moreover, they could help Inter win a second treble in club history.
“It’s a great opportunity, but we need to focus only on tomorrow,” Mkhitaryan said. “It will be a tough match against a very strong team.
“The coach started building this team four years ago, and I’ve been here for three. What he has done is very important for the club.
“We’ve helped create this atmosphere, and we’re fighting for the goals we set at the beginning of the season.
“We want to do everything we can to win, then we’ll see if we make it to the final.
“Everyone is free to say what they want, we know what we’ve done.
“We didn’t celebrate after the first leg, we were just happy with the win.
“We want to stay focused on ourselves. A lot of people talk, but we try not to listen.
“That’s just how the world of football is.
“We’re calm, mature, and experienced, and know we have to win every match in every competition.
“Furthermore, we don’t need to listen to what the media says, we know what we want.
“We don’t get nervous because we all take responsibility for our results.”

Mkhitaryan is among the most experienced players at the San Siro.
Indeed, he’s part of the ‘veteran’ club alongside Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Yann Sommer.
“We always bring something extra, we’re giving our all to help the team,” he stated.
“And we’re trying everything, and as you said, it could be our last chance.
“We’ll see tomorrow if we can make it or not.”
Then, he shockingly admitted he could hang up his boots at the end of the season.
“It’s one of the toughest seasons because it’s mid-April and we’re still competing on three fronts,” Mkhitaryan revealed.
“But it’s also a joy to fight for all these objectives. I’m very happy to have reached this moment in my career because it may not come again.
“Maybe I have 1–2 years left to play, or maybe I’ll stop at the end of this season.
“I’m very happy here, to play for this club and to be achieving what we are.”
Meanwhile, he commented on his earlier statement, admitting he still considers Inter ‘unplayable.’
“What I said was two months ago, but of course the headlines came out immediately. That’s fine, no problem.
“It was my opinion at the time – from the inside, I see how hard my teammates work, how much they sweat for the shirt.
“I still stand by what I said – we’re an incredibly strong team, and that’s why we’re still fighting on three fronts.
“We want to go as far as possible, this season can give us a lot.”
Michael Olise has enjoyed a superb maiden season at the Allianz Arena.
Despite failing to score against Inter, he gave Inzaghi’s defenders a run for their money.
“Olise is very strong, but it’s not just him, the whole team is good,” Mkhitaryan stated.
“He impressed me, I’ve followed him at Crystal Palace. He’s fast and playing fantastic football.
“We can’t let him play as well as he did in the first leg.”
Asked whether he views Inter as pre-match favorites, the Armenian replied: “We’re not thinking about the first leg. That was a week ago.
“We’re starting from 0–0, both teams can win.
“We have to play at our best and try to win the match in front of our fans, who give us a huge boost.”
Furthermore, he admitted he expects another evenly contested game.
“We’ll focus on ourselves, not Bayern. We’re playing at home, and we know they’ll come here to win, just like us.
“It won’t be an easy game, but we’re ready.”
Finally, he explained how adrenaline helps elite athletes overcome fatigue.
“It’s more enjoyable to play every three days.
“Especially in every competition, it gives us great strength and motivation to keep going.
