Inter have said goodbye to several players at the end of their contracts, including Alexis Sanchez, Juan Cuadrado, Davy Klaassen and Emil Audero.
It is now July 1, so the contracts for the 2023-24 season expired on June 30 and that means the end of the road at San Siro for some big names.
Alexis Sanchez wore their jersey over two different spells, from 2019 to 2022, then again in the 2023-24 campaign.
During that time, the Chile international won two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia and two editions of the Supercoppa Italiana.
Cuadrado had joined as a free agent from Juventus last summer and made only 12 appearances for the Nerazzurri, contributing two assists.
Dutch international Klaassen was also a free agent when leaving Ajax in September 2023, but the one-year deal has come to an end and will not be renewed.
The midfielder made 18 appearances in all competition for Simone Inzaghi’s side.
Stefano Sensi was also released as a free agent, though he would’ve left for Leeds United in January if not for the failure of the negotiations.
As for Audero, the goalkeeper was on loan from Sampdoria with an option to buy, but the Nerazzurri decided not to activate it after he made just six appearances.
The 27-year-old returns to Samp, but is not expected to be there for long, with interest from OGC Nice, Como and Monza amongst others.
