A huge night awaits. At 21:00 CEST on Tuesday 6 May, the Nerazzurri will face Barcelona at San Siro in a match that will decide the first 2024/25 Champions League finalist. The two teams are set to meet again after the spectacular 3-3 first-leg draw at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, where Thuram and Dumfries (a brace) got on the scoresheet. Now, it's the turn of Inzaghi's men to host Hansi Flick's side in what promises to be a thrilling encounter in San Siro's special atmosphere.

OPPONENTS | BARCELONA

The Catalans are coming off a comeback win against Valladolid, which they achieved thanks to goals from Raphinha and Fermín López. In La Liga, they have 79 points from 34 matches (25 wins, four draws and five defeats) and the best attack (91 goals). Defensively, they've conceded 33. In the Champions League, the Blaugrana finished the league phase in second place with a 19-point haul (six wins, one draw and one defeat), scoring 28 goals (the highest number) and conceding 13. Since the start of the knockouts, they've overcome Benfica (round of 16) and Borussia Dortmund (quarter-finals) to make it this far.

Barcelona are a hugely prolific side: under Flick, they've scored an average of 3.08 goals per match and have the best attack in the competition (40 goals) - the highest tally by a team in a single season since Bayern Munich in 2019/20 (43 goals). The only other teams to have netted more than 40 goals in a single campaign are Barcelona in 1999/00 (45), Real Madrid in 2013/14 (41) and Liverpool in 2017/18 (41).

Twelve of these 40 goals have been scored by Raphinha - the second-highest scorer in the competition this season and the top assist provider (nine assists). Following closely behind him is Lewandowski, who has found the net eleven times. In last week's first leg, Lamine Yamal scored his fifth Champions League goal in 2024/25.
