Inter remain interested in Jaka Bijol and will keep scouting the Slovenia international during a Serie A match against Udinese on Saturday, but the Bianconeri have already clarified that the 25-year-old won’t leave in January.
Inter will monitor Udinese defender Bijol on Saturday when Simone Inzaghi’s men face the Bianconeri at the Bluenergy Stadium.
Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport claim that the Nerazzurri are still interested in the Slovenian centre-back, who his club values at €20m.
Inter signed Argentinean talent Tomas Palacios last summer, but they may need an experienced defender in the coming months as Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij’s contract expire at the end of the season.
Bijol has been on Inter’s radars for a long time, and according to Tuttosport, the 25-year-old is on the Nerazzurri shopping list alongside Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen), Olivier Boscagli (PSV) and Yarek Gąsiorowski who has a €45m clause in his Valencia contract.
Torino‘s Perr Schuurs and Atalanta‘s Giorgio Scalvini are also said to be on the Nerazzurri agenda, but both players are recovering from knee injuries.
Udinese are aware that some top sides are keeping a close eye on Bijol, but their director Gianluca Nani said only a few days ago, that the 25-year-old won’t leave in the January transfer window: “He is an excellent player and naturally top clubs approach him. What if Inter ask for him in January? A player of his caliber, won’t be sold in January. If they [Inter] call us, we’ll tell them to wait.”
