As the international break comes to an end, more Sheffield United players were in action for their national team.

Harry Souttar started once more for Australia during their 2-2 draw with Bahrain. The Socceroos are now on seven points in their AFC qualification group, sitting second, but they are nine points behind Japan in first. Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Bahrain and China are both a single point behind Australia, as they battle to qualify for the Asian Football Cup.

Rhys Norrington-Davies was an unused substitute once again for Wales as they hammered Iceland by four goals to one. Following this win, and Montenegro’s shock 3-1 victory over Turkey, Wales have now clinched first place in their UEFA Nations League group and have therefore gained promotion to league A.

Ryan Oné featured in the starting lineup for Scotland under-19’s as they secured an impressive 4-0 victory over Liechtenstein U19’s. He also played a full 90 minutes in their following goalless draw with France U19’s. Scotland are on four points sat in third in their European Championships qualifying group.

Sydie Peck, who has taken a giant leap forward in his development this season, played 75 minutes for England under-20’s during their 1-1 draw with Poland U20’s. This draw extends their unbeaten run to six in the U20’s Elite League, with England sitting on top just two points above Germany.

Meanwhile, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi made an impact off the bench for England under-21’s, playing 33 minutes in their clash against the Netherlands U21’s.

As the Championship campaign gets set to resume this weekend, the Blades will travel down to Coventry City on Saturday afternoon, with Gustavo Hamer and Callum O’Hare likely starting against their former club.
