Inter are up against Arsenal next in the Champions League and the Gunners are struggling, managing just one point in their last three Premier League games.
They go head-to-head in London on Wednesday at 20.00 GMT as part of the new format where all the results go into a single table.
The Nerazzurri have done well so far in Europe this season, holding Manchester City to a 0-0 draw away from home, then beating Crvena Zvezda 4-0 and Young Boys 1-0.
Arsenal received a blow to morale this afternoon with a surprise 1-0 Premier League defeat at Newcastle United, where they failed to get a single shot on target.
It means they have just one point from their last three Premier League games, also drawing 2-2 with Liverpool and losing 2-0 at Bournemouth.

When it comes to the Champions League, both Inter and Arsenal have not yet conceded a goal, as Mikel Arteta’s side held Atalanta 0-0 on September 19, then defeated PSG 2-0 and Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0.
Injuries continue to be a problem for the Gunners, who are missing Martin Odegaard, Kiernan Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Magalhaes played the full 90 minutes today, though Italy international Riccardo Calafiori was not even on the bench.
Inter are expected to rotate the squad for tomorrow’s game against Venezia, but above all get Hakan Calhanoglu and Francesco Acerbi back.
