Simone Inzaghi says that Inter Milan are “trying to get everyone into top condition” ahead of the Champions League final against PSG.
The Nerazzurri coach spoke in a press conference after today’s Serie A win over Torino, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter Milan take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Munich at the end of this month.
The Nerazzurri will have just under three weeks to prepare for the match now.
Moreover, Inter will play two more Serie A matches in between now and then, Potentially, three if there is to be a playoff for the title in the event that they finish level on points with Napoli.
In the meantime, Inter are missing a few players due to injury.
Then, even the players who are not injured are hardly at their freshest. Inter have played twice per week since the start of April.
In between the Nerazzurri’s league schedule have been exhausting ties against the likes of AC Milan, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona.

As far as how Inter will prepare, coach Simone Inzaghi said that “we have to work with a smile.”
“The way that we always have.”
“We’re still playing for the Scudetto, one point at a time,” the Nerazzurri coach insisted.
“I’m still trying to get all the players into top condition,” he added.
“Before PSG, we’ll have Lazio and Como on the way.”
Meanwhile, Inzaghi praised his team’s performance against Torino. “The guys did well,” he said. “I was worried, because Toro are a well-organized team.”
“But we interpreted the match in the right way,” declared the Inter coach.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi also spoke about the performance of Inter’s man of the match, Nicola Zalewski. “He’s a quality player,” the Nerazzurri coach said.
“He can play as a wingback, box-to-box midfielder, or second striker.”
“We were missing a few players in midfield,” Inzaghi said. “And we thought, along with the rest of the coaching staff, to move him up the pitch.”
“Everyone did well,” the Nerazzurri coach. “I’m particularly thinking of Correa and Taremi, who deserved to score.”
“After the 120 minutes that we played on Tuesday, some players had to stay back in Milan.”
“But we wanted to win it with maximum effort. And we did that.”
Of striker Mehdi Taremi’s form, Inzaghi said “he’s had a lot of physical problems, as with Correa and Zalewski.”
“The latter had a calf problem. Correa ditto.”
Meanwhile, Inzaghi noted that “Taremi suffered pubalgia in the first half of the season.”
“Then he came back from the international break with an injury.”
“When players have physical problems they can’t be at their best,” added the Inter coach.
