Iran & Italy Stars To Start For Inter Milan In Serie A Clash Vs Juventus | OneFootball

Mehdi Taremi and Francesco Acerbi are set to start in today’s Serie A clash between Juventus and Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

This evening, Inter Milan take on Juventus in the second Derby d’Italia of the season.

The last time that the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri faced off, it ended in a wild 4-4 draw.

And this time out, both teams will have ample motivation to win, beyond the usual intensity of the rivalry.

For Inter, there is the chance to capitalize on more dropped points by Napoli after the league leaders drew away to Lazio yesterday. Inter can go top of the table with a win this evening.

Juventus, meanwhile, can regain their spot in the top four of the table with three points.

Naturally, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has every intention of starting his strongest available eleven for this evening’s match.

There have been a couple of doubts on that front, however.

In attack, the big question mark has been the fitness of striker Marcus Thuram.

The Frenchman took a blow to the ankle in last Monday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina. He has been recovering from that during the week.

Thuram is fit enough to be on the bench this evening against Juventus.

However, the 27-year-old will not yet be ready to play from the first minute.

Therefore, reports the Gazzetta, it will be Iranian international Mehdi Taremi who partners Lautaro Martinez in attack for Inter.

Then, in defense, Inzaghi has Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij to choose from at the heart of the back three.

According to the Gazzetta, though, it will be the former who gets the nod this evening.
