Pre-season games are often a time for experimentation but Portsmouth’s Ryley Towler has taken things a step further.

The Championship newcomers took on neighbours Havant & Waterlooville on Friday as part of their preparations for the new campaign.

With John Mousinho’s side leading at the interval, Towler attempted to pick out a teammate to receive his pass from the heart of defence.

But with no Pompey players within accessible range, the 22-year-old decided to go it alone and produce an unbelievable solo effort.
