Former Real Madrid star Isco has sent a message of appreciation the way of a current member of the attacking ranks in Spain’s capital.

The player in question? Brahim Díaz.

Brahim, of course, is fresh off proving himself the difference-maker in Real Madrid’s most recent outing.

Los Blancos welcomed city rivals Atlético to the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday night, for the first leg of a Champions League Round-of-16 tie.

When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops emerged on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline, to secure a crucial advantage ahead of next week’s return leg.

And it was the aforementioned Brahim who notched the decisive goal.

After Rodrygo’s opener was cancelled out by Julián Alvarez, Brahim conjured up a moment of individual magic, carving out enough space in the visitors’ penalty area to pick out the far corner with aplomb.

And as alluded to above, amongst those to have been impressed by such efforts was none other than Isco.

Taking to the comments section of Brahim’s latest post on Instagram, Isco, fresh off netting the winner against former employers Real Madrid at the weekend, wrote:
