Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter Milan have been very clear in their stance on midfielder Davide Frattesi.
Biasin spoke to the Twitch channel of FCInter1908. He stated that he expects the Nerazzurri would only accept a big cash offer for Frattesi, and denied that the 25-year-old has kicked up a fuss behind the scenes.
Since the start of the January transfer window, the rumours have been flying about Frattesi.
Reportedly, the Italian international wants to leave Inter.
This would be because of the lack of playing time he’s had so far this season.
There have been a number of clubs linked with Frattesi. The strongest links have been to Roma, but Napoli are also reportedly thinking about a move.
So far, there have been some conflicting reports regarding the kinds of offers that could arrive for Frattesi.
There have been rumours that Roma could offer a swap deal. This could even include midfielder Bryan Cristante, who is himself increasingly out of favour at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, Italian journalist Biasin believes that there is little to any of these rumours.
Biasin said that “I’ve asked about it repeatedly over the past few days.”
“And it’s always been repeated to me,” he went on. “They’ve named their price: €45 million minimum.”
“Then maybe, if there’s an offer of €44 million, sure, maybe.”
“But the general idea they have is clear,” Biasin said.
“And if they keep making clear that that’s the price, and no one can pay it, it’s their way of saying ‘we’ll keep him.'”
“And then if someone does offer it, then they can be grateful,” the journalist added. “€45 million is nothing to sneeze at.”
Biasin then went on that “I know the club is firm on this point.”
“They’ve made clear that there can only be negotiations if someone comes in with a bid of €45 millions.”
“Not €30 million plus a player,” Biasin said.
“I don’t think they’re bluffing. They want the cash, and no one in Italy has it, so I struggle to imagine Frattesi leaving.”
Moreover, Biasin said that “I don’t think he’s sulked or argued.”
