Today’s Italian media reports agree on one thing: Romelu Lukaku should not have been on the pitch to score Napoli’s winning goal in last night’s 1-0 victory over Roma.
Lukaku risked receiving two yellow card due to a couple of dangerous interventions.
The first one was against Celik, where Lukaku’s leg is stretched out high, the contact is not full but grazing (otherwise it would have been red), but the yellow is missing.
The proof is in the rebuke that the referee gives to the Belgian.
The other intervention that should have gotten Lukaku off the pitch was when he entered with his foot on Svilar’s chest, again without intention, but the intervention is imprudent, deserving of a yellow, writes Corriere dello Sport.
